My name is Luanne Mayo, but most people call me Lu. Though I am originally from Nashville, TN in the USA, Chiang Mai has been my home for almost twenty years. I also lived in Australia for nearly seven years. My husband and I are missionaries. In addition to teaching Bible classes, we also tutor in English, math, science and history.  We have two sons and a daughter who are also teachers and have recently taken guardianship of a 9-year-old Thai girl. My Bachelor of Science degree is in biology.  I can speak, read and write in Thai, but not as proficiently as I hope to one day. In my free time, I enjoy quilting (by hand), listening to recorded books and reading real books as well!

Currently, I am teaching Prathom P5 and P6  in the NP English program. I am also  the Group Coordinator for Prathom here at Dara Academy.  Chiang Mai is a beautiful city in which to live and having the opportunity to teach here at Dara is truly a wonderful blessing!
