Amber A.

Hello! My name is Amber Allen. I am from New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. This will be my fifth year teaching at Dara. I will be teaching Prathom 5 and Prathom 6 NP and two skills classes.

Before coming to Dara, I taught Mathyom 3-6 in Phanomphrai, Roi Et. I have been in Thailand since October 2019. 

In university, I studied History and Museum Studies. I have an MLitt from the University of Glasgow in Glasgow, Scotland UK; and I have a BA from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana USA. I also have a 160 hour TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate from Costa Rica TEFL in Samara, Costa Rica.

In the classroom, I like to use a lot of games and competitions to keep the students involved. In my free time, I like to read and watch movies. I also like to do things outside, like hiking and camping.

I am excited to continue teaching in Thailand! I look forward to meeting the students and see what this school year brings.
