Hello, I am Virgil Hodges, known by my students as Teacher V. 

I hold a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in the field of management from two universities located in America, which is where I am from. I’ve been teaching here in Chiang Mai for three years, previously working at a school in San Pa Tong where I taught a variety of subjects including English, phonics and grammar to primary and kindergarten students.

In the classroom, I focus on creating an active learning environment where lessons are fun and interactive, relevant to real-world situations and the students’ personal interests. I also focus on building strong student-teacher relationships to create a positive learning environment. I prioritize building trust and confidence with my students, recognizing their individual needs and abilities, and building a similar relationship with parents through open communication..

For fun, I enjoy yoga, being out in nature, visiting nice coffee shops, and keeping my plant babies alive.
