Emma S.

Hello, my name is Emma Schumann. 

I am from South Africa, and I grew up in a small town in KwaZulu-Natal. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art, I have a keen eye for detail and a variety of skills that offer imaginative ways to learn English. After completing my degree and working a corporate job in media, I quickly realized that teaching is my passion.

I am starting my teaching journey at Dara Academy, and I bring an encouraging and creative approach to the classroom. I believe learning should be an exciting and interactive experience, and this is what I offer to the P1 Trilingual English students. 

My teaching style is patient and caring. I encourage curiosity, individual thinking, and continuous learning, providing a safe and creative space for students to grow and flourish. 

In my free time, you’ll find me reading a good book or exploring the beautiful places in and around Chiang Mai.
