As a former Baseball player for Oakland University Ryan Fitzgerald understands and appreciates the game of baseball. He believes that baseball is a huge outlet for kids from all walks of life.

Ryan quotes "Baseball is more than just a game, it's opportunity. Without the game I wouldn't be here doing what I am doing today for the youth. I hope to help kids get to their highest potential and guide them to be wonderful young adults".

With the launch of The Yard Ryan hopes to give kids the same opportunities he had if not more.

As a former wrestler for Kent State University, Lane Hinkle knows how important hard work and a positive attitude is to success as a student and as an athlete. Lane has also learned how important it is to give back.

“Giving back is just a great thing to do," Lane says. "It helps the next generation to have opportunities to grow and to be successful. That’s an awesome thing.”

With the launch of The Yard Lane hopes to empower youth and provide them with endless opportunities through sports and life. He believes that through sports many paths in life can be opened.
