Speaking to the community about the future of Burton Market Hall

Welcome to Burton Market Hall's Local Urban Room, a space to have a say in the future of your town.

Urban Rooms are friendly, inclusive spaces that bring people together to discuss and co-design their places, in person and online.

Here you can explore and share ideas about your place and we will share these with local decision makers to influence internal processes on your behalf and bringing the community along to input in the big decisions about their place.

Everything you contribute will inform the next steps for the Market Hall. So spread the word, join the conversation and HAVE YOUR SAY.

We're working with local placemaker, creative and trailblazer Tilly Bancroft from Making Trails to add some local creative spark to our engagement.
Tilly's local insight will be a valuable asset to our team and we're thrilled to be working with the Making Trails team!

OPEN THROUGHOUT FEBRUARY AND EARLY MARCH

If you can't make it to one of the dates here, don't worry! The Urban Room will be open throughout February and early March in Unit 13 at The Market Hall. You'll find, pens, pencils, post its and a series of questions and call outs on the wall and in the table. So get stuck in and tell us your thoughts.
The space will be monitored by the Hall management and everything you input will be put into the mix. If you don't want your comments on public display, you can slip some into our suggestion box or email us!

Can't make it to one of our pop up events? Take the survey here to give us your thoughts and ideas.

Our goal is to give your feedback about your place the platform it deserves. We will document what you say and report back to local decision-makers, helping you (and them) to co-design your place.

Map how you experience the Market Hall and its surrounding area with our sensory Mapping Tool!

We want to know:

Everything you share will be fed back to your local Council to inform decision making.

Double click at points of interest on the map to tell us all about that area.

Having your say is easy. Choose a sense icon or share a general feeling or idea with us, fill in the caption and submit your thoughts!
