Ruby is a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in the treatment of women, children, adolescents, and teens. She earned her Masters of Mental Health Counseling degree from Capella University and BS from Spelman College in Atlanta.
Ruby’s experience includes being a mom of two active boys, working with parents, guardians, children, adolescents, and families in emergency shelters and advocacy centers, and private school education in Georgia. She works with issues of abuse, anger, autism, anxiety, depression, frustration tolerance, probation, social skills, self-harm, self-esteem, body image, suicidal ideations, and trauma as well as other mental health concerns.
Ruby also has experience working with families and parents who have experienced traumatic events that require the reunification of a family member. She is DBT certified and trained in EMDR and multiple play techniques. Ruby loves using mixed modalities of play, CBT, DBT, and EMDR to help her client move forward in life. The goal is always to help clients be the best version of themself.
Ruby believes that counseling provides the best opportunity for self-discovery, self-awareness, and problem-solving.
Ruby also provides supervision for therapists working towards professional licensure and education to masters-level interns.
