I hold a Master of Science in Counseling from Northeastern State University and have several years of experience supporting children and families in the public school system—especially those navigating housing instability, foster care involvement, or significant life transitions. These experiences have shaped my relationally attuned and developmentally responsive approach to therapy.
I have specialized training in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), both evidence-based and developmentally appropriate models for children ages 3 to 10. I am currently under supervision toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and am working toward official certification in both CCPT and CPRT. I offer a warm, accepting playroom environment where children can express themselves freely, build emotional resilience, and strengthen their inner resources through the therapeutic relationship, while also supporting caregivers in strengthening their connection with their child.
In my work with adolescents, teens, and adults, I draw primarily from person-centered and narrative therapies while utilizing expressive and sandtray techniques. I welcome clients of all ages and support individuals experiencing identity exploration, anxiety, depression, relational concerns, or life transitions. I am also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator and provide structured support for couples seeking premarital counseling or relationship growth.
Across all ages, I approach therapy as a collaborative process. My goal is to help clients uncover meaning, reflect on patterns, and reconnect with parts of themselves that may feel overwhelmed, lost, or overlooked. Any tools or techniques we use are introduced thoughtfully and centered around your goals.
My approach is non-directive, relationship-based, and rooted in the belief that people grow best within safe, supportive, and authentic therapeutic connections. I’m honored to walk alongside children, families, and individuals as they navigate challenges and emotional growth.
I practice under the clinical supervision of Ellie Wood, MA, LPC, NCC, RPT-S, CPCS, CFMHE, CCCE (Ellie@wearebackontrack.com).
