Ellie Lysha Wood

MA, LPC, NCC, RPT-S, CPCS, CFMHE, CCCE

Ellie is a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, teens, and their families. She received her Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and has undergone extensive training and education in the unique therapeutic approach of play therapy.  She is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor through the Association for Play Therapy and is also trained in EMDR.

Ellie’s experience includes over 17 years of working with children, adolescents, families, and groups. She has worked in several therapeutic settings including an intensive outpatient program, in-home individual and family therapy, outpatient community mental health, and elementary, middle, and high school counseling programs.

Ellie is a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator and a Certified Child Custody Evaluator by the National Board of Forensic Evaluators.

Ellie is a Certified Professional Clinical Supervisor and provides supervision for therapists working towards professional licensure and/or working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist.

Ellie has 2 children and knows that being a parent can be tough. She is passionate about kids and her goal is to provide a unique, thoughtful, and individualized approach for each child or family she works with.  She encourages both children and their parents to work together in the therapeutic process to help bring about positive change and to foster open communication.  She would be honored to work with you and your family to help your child feel better so they can do better.
