The West End Neighborhood Council (WENC) is an independent, non-profit organization that seeks to inform and engage neighbors about local issues. We are funded by the city and run by a volunteer Board of local residents. We hold monthly meetings (taking a summer break in July and a winter break in December). At these meetings, we bring in invited speakers and city liaisons, like our police liaisons and our City Council representative. There is always time to raise new issues under "new business." We meet on the second Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at Fire Station 16 at 7217 Sixth Avenue in Tacoma.
