As part of being enrolled in the Visual art course the school will upload software for the year to your laptop. This will happen during the first few weeks of Term 1. Further below are the instructions for how to install the software on your computer.
The main software we use in visual Art for Photography is the Adobe software. Bridge and Lightroom.
HINT: Each year Adobe software is updated. You might find that tutorials / screencasts will look different than the software version you have. The basics remain the same.

Folder structure for Drive and your laptop
Folder structure for Drive and your laptop
You need to set up folders on your laptop and also Drive to store your photography files in.
You will use your laptop files with the Adobe software.
The drive folders are your back up images in case you loose your work or your laptop gets damaged.
Imagery can be uploaded to your slideshow from your laptop files or Drives files.
Same structure is also use on your laptop with your photography folder in your documents folder
You can create your folder structure on your laptop under your documents folder and then upload the Photography folder to your Drive or if this doesn't work you will need to create the folders again on Drive. Please make sure the folders you create is in your Photography classroom folder.

How to create folders on Drive
IMPORTANT
IMPORTANT
You need to make sure that the folder you create your Photography folder is not in icloud or onedrive.
Keeping your folder with the computer syncing backup installed will cause you to not be able to complete tasks or find your work.
You will back up all your photographs on google drive so using icloud and onedrive is not needed
