Shoot 5
Ideas and planning:
I am going to follow my dad and do some documentary of what a morning looks like whilst the cows are dry, i will also be looking into what the working hands of the farm do. I am also going to be exploring and using David cook to have a look at a pound we have on our family farm as well.

I think that me choosing two artist models made it a lot easier to come up with ideas and be able to explore different ideas. I think that doing some documentary was a really neat idea. I liked the early morning shooting as the sun was coming up and it wasn't too dark but not too bright. The mist of a cool winter's day was also cool to capture. I enjoyed shooting the action shots of Dad as it was more natural instead of posing. I could improve some of my photos and take them a step further and create a nicer more interesting image. For next time I think for this shoot I could do some more documentaries when claving is happening and when there is more going on on the farm.
Shoot 6
Ideas and planning:
I am going to investigate and shoot different signage and symbols around the farm like the signs and symbols on all the machinery which is used on the farm, looking at everything that is used for farming. Then I am going to try and make sort of a collage of the signs and symbols to go on my board potentially.

I found that my shoot 6 focus was around signs and symbols which lead me to be looking quite close up on different parts of machinery labels and all sorts. With some of the photos I took I am wanting to try and make a sign collage to potentially incorporate into my folio boards. I enjoy this shoot cause some of the photos made me actually think and explore new things and look at machinery parts in depth to find a symbol or a sign. For next time I think it could be interesting to look in depth in the milk shed or everyday objects and symbols.

I really enjoyed shooting this shoot and I really enjoyed capturing the calves feeding. I was able to get some close ups and then also use depth of field and show the working people. This shoot went well and was successful, I got shots of calves, the feeding process, close ups of chains, my favourite photos from this shoot was the photo of the calves drinking with the dribbles of milk. I used my artist models to influence ideas and influence different camera techniques.

Evaluation of shoot 8
I found this shoot went quite well. I was able to capture photos of the milk shed and the vats which is a big part of dairy farming as it is where the milk is kept. I got some good photos of the taps and vats. I was also able to shoot some photos of the calves which are the up-and-coming ones that will be the next in line for producing the milk. I also was able to shoot some photos of just around near by the cowshed of the reality of farming, for example, I got shoots of the wheel marks in the mud. I think doing this shoot made me able to really push and extend my ideas and my theme of farming as I was able to capture a wide range of what farming is and looks like.
