For this shoot all I wanted to do was get out and take photos of Hamilton Gardens and try out my camera. I wanted to explore camera angles and exposure and also find interest in things I want to take photos of for future shoots. I wanted to find something that I could focus on and be able to develop on that idea.
Things I like:
I liked the location of the shoot as there was a lot to photograph which helped me to choose more specificly what I really want to photograph. There where a lot of shapes in the gardens that i really enjoyed photographing too.
Things to improve:
I need to work on using the right setting on the camera for different lightings, the zoom on the camera, the right angles. Another thing I could improve on is taking symmetrical straight upright photos of the gardens and landscape as alot of the garden have symmetrical shapes.
Ideas:
-Take photos of the shadows created by the lights and trees
-photograph at night
-photograph trees and buildings
Frank Hallam Day
Things I like:
I like the light and shadows created by the lights and plants, sculptures and trees at school.
Things to improve:
I need to improve using the right shutter speed on the camera, right exposure setting on the camera, right angles and could potentially use a tripod for further shoots to help have still and clear photos.
Things I like:
I liked to reflection of the plants reflecting of the black board with the white screen behind which made the reflection and the object more effective.
Things to improve:
I could improve the placement of some of the plants and leaves as well as the angles and zoom of the camera. Some of the photos looked like there was no purposeful placement and looked like there wasnt really much thought that went behind the photos.

Things I like:
I like the shadows created by the sun shinning down on the leafs. The leafs are all shaped differently that create shadows on the photo. I like the colour of the leaves as they are similar to colours around the school and I could tie in plants, badges and tartans in further shoots.
Things to improve:
Most photos in this shoot have ferns that don't really have any connection to the photo which looks random. The leaves dont really connect to my theme of school and I could use other objects such as badges and tartans that represent school better and would give a clear message to the viewer.
