Ideas
My ideas for this shoot was to photograph the utensils used in the kitchen, I planned to photograph reflections as well as multiples of the same utensils or appliances of different sizes whilst being stacked to show particular placement of subject matter.
Artist model inspiration
I photographed using some of the features that Anatoly Che uses in his still life photography. Anatoly Che uses structure and particular placement of subject matter to create his photographs. I used the kitchen utensils and appliances such as pans, measuring spoons, a toaster and tongs in the Holland boarding house kitchen. I have used the organising of subject matter in the photos in a similar way to Anatoly.

Evaluation
I was able to use some of the organisation of subject matter style that Anatoly used. The photos from my shoot seemed a little to structured though compared to Anatolys work. Next time I would try encourage more flow through the structure of my subject matter as well as shoot in better lighting.

Ideas
My idea for this shoot was to use simple house hold items and the cupcakes I made to create a simple yet powerful set of images that only highlighted the main subject matter.
Artist model inspiration
I attempted to photograph in the style of André Kertész using at home baking and other stuff to create a still life photo shoot. I tried using the simplicity and organisation that André Kertész uses in many of his famous photography pieces.

Evaluation
Although the photos were simple and stood out I don't believe the shoot turned out very well I wasn't able to capture the photos in the lighting I needed and was unable to organise the subject matter in any way similar to André Kertész. The background was too bright and made the subject matter look dull. A black background would have brought out the bright colours in the images and the images would look more like André Kertész work.

Ideas
My idea for this shoot was to shoot documentary styled images of a restaurant whilst meals were being prepared for guests. I used Irving Penn as my model for this shoot because his work shows relaxed structure and great composition and thats what I was wanting to achieve in my shoot
Artist model inspiration
I used Irving Penn as my artist model, I used his style of still life and mixed it with documentary. I used still life and documentary of food being made and served in The Good Home Pukekohe.

Evaluation
I was able to capture many photos that share the same structure as Irving Penn. The structure came from the plating and structure of the dishes that were photographed. I could have added more purposeful structure in some of the images I took. To extend my idea I would add some black and white photos to add more dimension in the shoot and change the depth of field used in the photo shoot

Artist model inspiration
I have chosen Magda Indigo as inspiration for this photo shoot, I have used Magdas style of close up photography as well as how she focuses on one main piece of subject matter. I will experiment with a more focused depth of field.

Evaluation
Focusing on a select part of an image up close worked well. Next time blacking out the background would highlight the image a-lot more. The original lighting in this shoot has too much dull yellow lighting which dulls the subject matter in the images. A studio light would have been able to highlight the subject matter and improve the image quality.
