Andre Kertesz
He has some really good still life photos that I will take inspiration for my distortion of objects photos.
I also like distortion of the doors and it would be interesting to start off with normal architecture photos then bring in the
distorted ones. (this could bring in the idea of thinking you are in a dream or realising you are in dream)
John Stezaker
He does a lot of collage work which I could experiment with
using photoshop.
I could also use selective colour again here and only have one part of the
collage in colour.
I could also use this
collaging technique to use multiple photos in the same image to bring in the idea of confusion/different mindsets...etc.
Scott Mutter
I like how creative his editing is, it reminds me of something you would see in a dream. Photos like this would be a good way to expand my board from just the distortion of
objects.
Jerry Uelsmann
I like his creative editing
style, I could also take some black and white photographs and possibly add some selective colour to draw attention to the subject.
Suzanne Saroff
I like her minimalistic style of photographing and the idea of using water and glasses to distort the objects. If I photographed in this style I would also experiment with different camera angles and depths of field.
Irvine Penn
I like the very deliberate positioning of objects and I could experiment with this and the symbolism of the objects. She also uses specific colours so I could include this kinda of colour symbolism in my work
Abelardo Morell
Experimenting with books; looking through books, folding pages, looking through rounded pages at other objects...etc I also really like his use of light and shadow and would specifically like to take inspiration from his 'Down the Rabbit Hole' collection.
I like her style of interesting angle and depths of field. She also takes photos that gave an atmosphere of innocence and some fantasy.
His focus is fashion however I like his photos with models and the different poses they do that make his photos more than snapshots. I also like the combination of fashion and nature.
I like the illusions she does, such as this glove one,, and it brings in the idea of a fantasy world/not quite real which could relate to Alice in Wonderland.I also like the shadows/lightning.

New Artist Models:
Laszloa Moholy
I like the collage idea and the use of
different shapes.
This could be a good way to regenerate certain shapes - such as the chess board squares or the lines from the architecture.
Wendy Van Santeen
I like the lighting and the idea of using fabric over the subject
matter.
I want to do another studio shoot with my subject matter using this for inspiration.
Abelardo Morell
I have taken inspiration from Abelardo
Morell in previous shoots so I would like to use more of his images such as these again. I like the use of movement and bringing in water.
Alan Knowles
I like the use and effect of the patterns and repetition. I would like to try this in the studio and add some coloured light.
