About Me
My name is Jen Wathke and I am a teacher in De Pere, WI. I grew up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and attended the Stevens Point Area Public Schools. I earned by Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, and a minor in Computer Science, from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. For the first three years of my teaching career, I taught at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, FL. While I lived in Florida, I went back to school to earn my Masters in Teaching and Learning with a focus on K-12 Technology Integration from Nova Southeastern University. My tenure in Florida was extremely rewarding, but I knew that I was a Wisconsin girl at heart. In 2006, I moved back and began teaching in the West De Pere School District. After moving back, I completed my Instructional Technology Coordinator certification through Cardinal Stritch University. After teaching middle school business classes for six years, I transitioned to the Library Media/Instructional Technology Specialist position and currently work at Westwood Elementary School. I love presenting at conferences and meeting other educators that are passionate about integrating digital learning into their curriculum. I currently live in De Pere with my husband, Derek, and daughter, Ava.
I am honored to have presented at: FETC, Midwest Google Summit Spotlight Speaker, WEMTA Spotlight Speaker, WSRA, SITA, Numerous school district consults. I am a Seesaw Certified Educator and a Google Education Trainer.
