Hello and welcome to my website!  I am so excited for the opportunity to work with students at West De Pere High School. I work with students in grades nine through twelve whose last names begin with the letters H through O. Conferencing: Each counselor will be meeting with EVERY freshman student during Trimester 1 & EVERY junior in Trimester 2. Parents/Guardians are welcome and strongly encouraged to be part of their child's conference. Please call Sue Sanders or Krista Shovald at 338-5208 to schedule.  

College Applications: Application time ranges from August 1 through spring. Please carefully watch application close dates posted by your college of choice. Not all colleges have the same application time period. The UW System application is linked here at UW Application. ACT: The American College Test is needed for most college acceptance. The ACT is given 6 times per year in the state of Wisconsin, starting in September and ending in June. At WDP we feel the best time for a junior to take the official ACT is with the state assessment in March. There is no need to apply unless you are taking an additional ACT. See application and dates here.   

Personal/Social Counseling: As a High School Counselor I can help with personal or social issues, too. Please stop in and make an appointment if you would like to. Please know that I follow the confidentiality code which is: What you share in here, stays in here, EXCEPT if you might hurt yourself, hurt others, or have been abused physically or sexually.

About Me: I am a graduate of Bay Port High School, and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Human Development at the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. I then attended the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh to complete my Master's of Science in Education degree. I started as a school counselor in the Southern Door School District and was there for seven years, until I accepted a school counselor position with the Green Bay Area Public School District where I worked for three years so I could be closer to home. I am very excited to work for West De Pere and feel blessed to work with such a positive and student focused Student Services team, high school, and school district!
