A Message from The West Deptford Department of Curriculum & Instruction
Dear West Deptford Families,
We are excited to announce the launch of our optional Summer Reading Program for students in Preschool through Fourth grade! This initiative is designed to keep our young learners engaged in reading throughout the summer months in a way that is both meaningful and fun.
Students are invited to choose a book from the suggested reading list or select a favorite title of their own. Any book that sparks their interest and imagination is encouraged. After finishing their book, students can extend their experience by completing one activity or project of their choice that connects to what they read.
When school resumes in September, students are encouraged to bring their completed project or activity to share with their teachers and classmates. Each participating student will receive a certificate of completion to celebrate their hard work and commitment to reading.
We hope this program inspires curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of reading. Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting literacy at home. We look forward to celebrating our students’ efforts and seeing their wonderful creations in the fall!
In Partnership,
The West Deptford Department of Curriculum & Instruction
