Dear 7A students and parents,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! My name is Kathryn Drewes, and I’m delighted to introduce myself and extend a warm welcome to your students as they embark on their seventh-grade journey. This marks my 24th year teaching language arts at WDMS, with seventh grade being my “home” for 21 of those years. Additionally, I teach students from around the world online during the summer months.

The handbook below provides essential information about my class and includes resources to help both you and your student navigate some of the technology we will be using throughout the school year.  I encourage you to review the handbook and reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification.

My goal is to support each student in developing the skills needed for success both academically and beyond. I believe that a positive learning experience is achieved through a strong partnership between parents, students, and teachers, and I’m excited to collaborate with you throughout the year.
