Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! My name is Missy Hernandez, and I am thrilled to be your child’s third grade teacher! This is my fifth year in West Deptford and my ninth year overall as an educator. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and American Studies. I recently earned my ESL certification and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in reading education.

I live in Mullica Hill with my husband and our two sons, Axton (9) and Luca (5). We love the holiday season, hiking, swimming, playing board games, building legos, and reading together. Our home wouldn’t be complete without our three fur babies... Cheddar, Myrtle, & Sinatra!

As a teacher, I strive to build strong and caring relationships, encourage creativity, and maintain a healthy digital balance. I work to help students build stamina, develop a love for learning, and feel valued within our classroom community. I look forward to making this year in West Deptford a memorable one!
