Grading

Grades will be calculated using the following:

Summative assignments evaluate student learning after multiple lessons.  Examples of summative assignments are quizzes, tests, and projects. 


Formative assignments evaluate student comprehension, learning needs, and academic progress for a lesson.  Examples of formative assessments are participation, classwork, homework, and reflections.


Algebra 1:

Summative Assignments - 65%

Formative Assignments - 35%


AP Calculus:

Summative Assignments - 70%

Formative Assignments - 30%


Probability and Statistics:

Summative Assignments - 70%

Formative Assignments - 30%


Late Assignments Policy:

When submitting make-up or late work (physically or electronically), students must complete this form requesting an assignment be graded.


This procedure helps maintain accountability for students and ensures that the grading process remains efficient and organized. 


**Late work will not be accepted after the student takes the end-of-unit assessment.
