The Rebecca Caudill Award Program is a statewide program from AISLE (Association of Illinois School Library Educators) designed to encourage middle school students to read.
Each year librarians and middle school teachers make a list of 20 nominees. (This list can include both fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, and story collections.)
The book that gets the most student votes statewide is declared that year's winner!
READ! Then, once you finish a nominee, please fill out this check-in form so we can add that title to your tally.
You only need to read THREE of the nominated titles between now and mid-March in order to vote. (But reading even just two will get you a Caudill mini-prize)
The REAL PRIZE, of course, is the pleasure you derive from reading, BUT reading more than three books also earns you other prizes, including gift cards to local businesses!
Click each title below to learn more about each nominee!
