Next MEETING ANNOUNCMENT:
*****NEW INFORMATION***** Garden Club will be an AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM this year!!!! This means we will have more time to propagate, grow, and learn TOGETHER! There WILL be an Activity Bus to take you home if your parents are unable. If you are in need of the activity bus (leaves around 4:35pm) please email Mrs. Barrett @ abarrett@wcusd200.org to get you on the list!
FIRST MEETING: October 6, 2026, all grade levels! Meet in room 140 (7th grade hallway) Mrs. Barrett's room. Please wear shoes and clothes you are ok getting dirty in! Bring a quick snack and a water bottle if needed. The activity bus WILL be available for students that do not have access to a parent pickup.
Each meeting will run until 4:40 and bussing leaves at around 4:45pm to drop students off at their homes!
Last year we were so grateful to receive a D200 Foundation Impact Grant!!! This afforded us the ability to purchase CMS's very first greenhouse!!!! Walk down the Hallway of Hope to check it out! Mrs. Barrett's family came together this summer to help build this beautiful new addition to our communinity! We are so excited for the possibilities all year round now! Thank you D200 Education Foundation!!!
Propagation of Plants: Learning to clip existing plants to make future plants!
Getting ready for our 3rd Annual Plant Sale (Spring 2027) our Greenhouse Project and Propagation Project will support this sale, to raise funds for future projects. Last year (2026) we were able to raise $600 for our program! This will help fund our new tool storage and future projects!

Welcome to the Garden Club Page! We are so excited you are interested in helping us preserve and enhance our Creekside Native Gardens, work with McHenry County Conservation Society, and grow our garden community!
Garden Club meets after school this year (date and times TBD) During our meetings we will work outside in our native gardens, plant inside during the winter, prepare for our second plant sale, and work with the McHenry County Conservation Society to help grow and preserve native plant in the Woodstock area.
