Mission
Founded in 2016, West Chester University Investment Group (WCUIG) is a student-managed investment fund that provides hands-on experience in equity research and portfolio management. Members oversee the "Golden Ram Fund", an equity-only fund within the West Chester University Endowment, while utilizing professional tools such as the Bloomberg Terminal. Through research, collaboration, and stock pitches, students gain practical investment knowledge and develop essential skills in analysis, teamwork, and public speaking. WCUIG is one of West Chester University’s premier business organizations, enhancing student outcomes during school and preparing members for success after graduation.
Investment Thesis
The Golden Ram Fund seeks to outperform its benchmark, the S&P 500 Index, additionally the sectors within the fund aim to outperform their sector-specific benchmarks, the State Street Select Sector SPDR ETFs. Our investment criteria focus on identifying undervalued companies with strong financials, durable competitive advantages, and long-term growth potential.
What We Do
