Tuesdays 18 June, 25 June, 2 July, 23 July 7 - 9pm (4 sessions); - 30 minutes revision/ new material as a group, can be available by zoom; 1.5 hours hands on support.
Saturday 27 July 2024 9am - 3pm

Te Whare Matihiko - The House of Digital, at 25 Hamilton Street in Hokitika.

$45 plus GST.

Course Content:

Using Open source software create an eBook.
Personal uses - family histories, poetry, novels.
Community groups use - annual reports, magazines
Businesses - promotion through an eBook (which could be added to the website)

Additional information

eBooks can be free to produce and free to publish to a large audience
They are especially good if further information can be added, updates

Tutor: Andrew Wright

Andrew is knowledgeable, professional and highly experienced and respected teacher of digital technology, both of adults and school students.

Andy Wright qualified many years ago as a librarian where he specialised in the development of Information Technology products to make information more accessible to all. He has worked on the development of a number of exciting projects and is a part of the worldwide opensource community. He has run his own international company for over 30 years and never purchased a piece of proprietary software. He has built and maintained numerous websites for individuals and companies using easily accessible tools and best value hosting options.

Andy is a renown storyteller, working internationally. He is a published author, using ePublications.
