STAGE 32

The cast of the Stage 32's spring play, Antigone: the Climate Wars, did not get a chance to perform. However, the amazing Stage 32 Tech + Costume Crew made some pretty awesome sets and costumes. We are working on a virtual performance of Antigone to be released soon, so stay tuned!

Did you miss Stage 32's winter musical, Avenue Q School Edition?

Theater Studies II

It's a very strange time to be a theater student, but the show must go on - even from your couch, kitchen table, or backyard. We hope you enjoy these remote performances from students in Theater Studies II.

I wrote this song about the comedy behind my first world challenges during quarantine. Although it’s comedic, and meant to bring light to the situation, it also thanks medical and first line workers, and does have meaning to me, as it was a way to express myself. I try to find joy in dark times, and that is what writing this song did for me! I wrote it by venting and playing random chords, and improvising until it came together in a mess of funny lines, and roasts to my family members!

Black Lives Matter tribute video.

Song: "Disappear" from the Broadway Cast Recording of Dear Evan Hansen by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Steven Levenson.

We wrote this song together about first becoming romantic partners during quarantine. We wrote the lyrics together but Lily is the mind behind the chords.

PS: We have been safely social distancing with our own families, but added eacother's families to our family "pods." That's why we were able to perform together!

This video shows how Theater has always been my passion. At the end you will see my favorite song and monologue from Bye Bye Birdie, the musical by Michael Stewart, Lee Adams and Charles Strouse. I never got to participate in this show because of Covid-19 :/

I filmed two short scenes. One with my sister about a cat and their owner in quarantine, and one with my dad about trying to sell him something. My stepmom recorded both of them for me.

This is my recording of Breaking Down from the musical Falsettos by William Finn and James Lapine . It’s about this woman who’s trying to cope with her ex husband’s homosexuality, her son’s out of control behavior, and her growing interest in her family psychiatrist. This song is super fun to sing and act, but despite the comedy it’s actually quite sad.

~ Grace Lane (class of 2022)

I did the monologue from As You Like It by Shakespeare, where Rosalind is reading a love note from Orlando! Watch until 1:09 only to see the performance (after that my dog got in the shot!).

~ Caroline Murray (class of 2022)

This is a monologue from As You Like It by Shakespeare. It is of Jaque explaining the worth of his life choices to Rosalind.

~ Elijah Hankins, class of 2022

This is a cover of Wide Open Spaces by The Dixie Chicks. It was my first time learning to play something on the piano. Click on the link above to watch the video. Enjoy!
