Program Information

Library Program

The Library is staffed by Librarian and Technology Integration Specialist, Amy Young. Students in preschool through grade four visit the library to check out once a week or as needed . Grades five and six can visit any day. Students in Kindergarten get one book at a time, grades 1&2 get two books, grade 3 gets 3, grades 4 gets 4, grade 5 gets 5 and grade 6 gets 6 books. If your child needs more please send a note or email.

The goals of the library program are to:

  • Connect students with books that are at a ―just-right level for them.

  • Create a love of literature.

  • Teach students how to find and use books.

  • Teach students to be responsible for books.

  • Teach students to be safe and respectful digital citizens.

  • Teach students how to gather information from print as well as online resources.

  • Teach students basic computer skills.

Lost or Damaged Books:

  • If a book is definitely lost or damaged beyond repair you may send in cash or check to pay for replacement. You may also purchase a replacement copy (new or used) if you can find a better copy. If there is a financial hardship a small donation can be made instead of the full cost.
