Library Program
The Library is staffed by Librarian and Technology Integration Specialist, Amy Young. Students in preschool through grade four visit the library to check out once a week or as needed . Grades five and six can visit any day. Students in Kindergarten get one book at a time, grades 1&2 get two books, grade 3 gets 3, grades 4 gets 4, grade 5 gets 5 and grade 6 gets 6 books. If your child needs more please send a note or email.
The goals of the library program are to:
Connect students with books that are at a ―just-right level for them.
Create a love of literature.
Teach students how to find and use books.
Teach students to be responsible for books.
Teach students to be safe and respectful digital citizens.
Teach students how to gather information from print as well as online resources.
Teach students basic computer skills.
Lost or Damaged Books:
If a book is definitely lost or damaged beyond repair you may send in cash or check to pay for replacement. You may also purchase a replacement copy (new or used) if you can find a better copy. If there is a financial hardship a small donation can be made instead of the full cost.
