DJ cRAIG mITCHELL

cRAIGmITCHELL, Vermont's most famous DJ, is a force within the dance music scene in Vermont. He has performed throughout VT and New England, as well as in Canada, NYC, Boston, Jamaica, and Canada. He has also worked with many musicians including Jay-Z, The Strokes, the Backstreet Boys, and more. In addition, he is a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ people and  survivors of sexual assault. Emoji Nightmare

"Emoji Nightmare is a drag artist. She was runner up in the Vermont Drag Idol competition in 2015. In 2017 she launched a talk show titled "The T with Nikki & Emoji" with co-host Nikki Champagne. She founded the Vermont chapter of Drag Queen Story Hour. She produces and hosts drag and comedy shows across northern New England." Find out more about Emoji Nightmare here and here

Who is invited? 

Middle and high school Queer Straight Alliance / Gay Straight Alliance clubs from across Vermont and New Hampshire are invited to attend this prom.   Attendees may also bring dates! See the next question for more info. 

Can I bring a date? 

Any attendee is welcome to bring a date, as long as their date is pre-registered along with the rest of your club. Your date does not need to affiliated with your GSA club or your school. They should be in middle or high school, and they should be a member or ally of the LGBTQ+ community.  You may include your date in with your registration, or they may register separately. 

What is the dress code? 

Since this is a prom, the attire will be formal. We can't wait to see all of the creative, funky, beautiful outfits ya'll come up with! 

Is there a theme? 

There isn't a specific theme. We want everyone to feel a sense of safety and belonging. That's it! 

Will the outside of the venue be decorated? 

The outside of the venue will not be decorated in any way that would reveal the gayness within. The inside is going to be beautifully decorated. 

Will there be security on site? 

Yes, the Killington Grand Resort has security officers onsite. We also will bring in security officers of our own who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Members of the Killington Police Department will also be present to ensure the safety for all. 

What is the responsibility of each club advisor?

Each club needs to be accompanied at the prom by their club advisor. Club advisors are responsible for ensuring that their students get to and from the venue safely, and that they abide by prom rules. 

Will there be food provided? 

Yes, light refreshments / snacks will be provided. There will not be a full dinner served, so please plan accordingly!

Will there be music? 

Yes! The event will be MCed by DJ cRAIG mITCHELL! It will also feature musical performances by Emoji Nightmare. Find out more about our performers above. 

What are the rules? 

No re-entry.

No alcohol. 

No outside beverages. That includes water bottles / containers. Water will be provided. 

No drugs, smoking, vaping, or tobacco products.

Must pre-register to attend.

All clubs must be accompanied by an adult club advisor. 

No outside food. 

No photographing or recording other guests without permission.
