Over the course of the upcoming school year, our team will be working with teachers through the district as we begin to look at classroom design theories as they related to our current learning spaces. We have already begun the explore various options in terms of leveled seating, soft seating, collaborative spaces, and floor plans to allow greater flexibility within several classroom learning spaces at Fishkill Elementary, Van Wyck, and Roy C. Ketcham.

Redesigning your classroom is about creating flexible seating and flexible spaces that enhance learning. Things to keep in mind when thinking about classroom design is making sure that you have spaces for individual and group learning to take place.
