You can't take a bad picture at Vanderbilt in Hyde Park! You have the main mansion, walking trails, garden, and riverfront to choose from.
Looking for cool architecture as a backdrop? The grounds of this college are IMMACULATE. Spend the afternoon walking around and grab lunch at one of the nearby cafes on Raymond Avenue.
This beautiful park is NOT FREE. Try to get there early in the day when the weather is nice. Check the website ahead of time for hours and swimming regulations as the beach isn't always open. Wear practical shoes!
This rock formation is a must see for anyone interested in a little adventure. There are a few challenging trails you can also hike on this property. WEAR PRACTICAL SHOES.
Check their website for hours of operation! Bring your camera and a picnic! The trail is not strenuous but can be muddy in places. Here you'll find a collection of teacup gardens, a pond with geese and turtles, and scenic vistas too numerous to count.
