Goals for Spanish II:
In Level 2, students will continue actively participating in the target language and culture. Skills from Level 1 (7th and 8th grade), such as reading, writing, speaking, and listening in the target language, are further developed to a higher proficiency level. In the Level 2 course, we will develop additional themes using more complex structures (interpersonal, interpretative, and presentational).
Through this course, students broaden their knowledge of Spanish grammatical structures and vocabulary, allowing them to communicate ideas using various tenses freely. Students are challenged through their lessons and assignments to improve and further develop their language skills and comprehension of Spanish. Students are also introduced to native aspects of Spanish-speaking cultures, which allow connections to be made with their own culture.
Goals for Spanish III
Our primary goal for Spanish III is to further enhance the student's language skills and cultural understanding.
In Level 3, all the topics, functions, and situations remain the same as in the previous levels but are approached more broadly and deeply. By expanding their vocabulary and understanding more complicated verb forms and grammatical concepts, students can communicate more effectively and understand the target language in authentic, real-life situations.
Level 3 is not just a continuation but also an expansion of the course. We will delve into additional themes and use more complex structures (interpersonal, interpretative, and presentational), thereby broadening your understanding and application of the Spanish language.
