Welcome to the Parent Communication!
Effective communication between school and home is vital for the success of your child. In this section, you will find key information and resources to help you stay connected and engaged in your child's learning journey in Computer Applications.
Stay Connected with Google Classroom
To ensure you and your child are always informed about their progress, I highly encourage you to regularly check Google Classroom for the latest updates, assignments, and classroom announcements.
Assignment Updates: Check your child’s individual assignments and see when they’re due or if they need any additional support.
Project Deadlines and Resources: Google Classroom will also house any materials or instructions for larger projects or upcoming quizzes.
Grade Tracking: You can monitor your child’s performance and track how they’re progressing in real-time through Google Classroom.
Please remind your child to check Google Classroom regularly, as this is the primary platform where I post announcements, assignments, and additional resources. If you have any questions or need assistance navigating Google Classroom, feel free to reach out!

Supporting Your Child at Home
Tips for Parents to Support Digital Literacy and Technology Learning:
Typing Skills: Encourage your child to practice their typing skills at home. Regular practice using websites like Skill Struck can help them improve their typing speed and accuracy.
Coding and Digital Learning: There are many online resources that your child can use to continue learning outside of school. Websites like Code.org and Kodable are fantastic for reinforcing programming concepts in a fun, engaging way.
Digital Citizenship: Discuss the importance of maintaining a positive digital footprint with your child. Help them understand the importance of privacy settings and responsible online behavior.
Check-In on Assignments and Progress: Regularly ask your child about their classwork. Use the Google Classroom platform to check on their assignments, projects, and grades. Encourage them to ask questions if they feel unsure about a lesson or task.
Parent Feedback
I value your feedback! If you have any concerns or suggestions about the class, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I am always looking for ways to improve the learning experience for your child and appreciate your input in making the class more effective.
