Course Description:
The primary focus of this program is to provide students with learning strategies, study techniques, organization and social/emotional skills that address IEP objectives. Students also utilize the resource room for testing accommodations and to receive/review, reinforcement, and re-teaching of content area concepts as well as working independently and with support to complete assignments and projects that may have been assigned during instructional periods. The overall goal of the resource room is to offer students the tools required to become independent and self-directed learners. Students are expected to join our classes Google Classroom where information, resources, and assignments will be posted throughout the year. While in remote learning environments, students will be required to sign up for weekly check in Meets with me in order to help stay organized and so I can assist on any questions or issues than may be having.

The best way to contact me is generally through the email address listed above. I check my email continuously throughout the school day and answer most emails by 3:00, although it is possible to reach me via email in the evenings should you have a question. I am especially available flexibly throughout remote learning in order to assist you in however best fits your individual needs.
Classroom Expectation:
Being on time for class or arriving with the necessary pass
Be prepared with assignments, folders/binders, paper, writing utensils that are needed to complete work
Cell phones must be turned off and put away
Positive attitude, behavior and respect towards all
Criteria for grading:
Grading is based on progress towards IEP goals.
