Grade 5 Supply List

• 7 plastic folders (bottom pockets/3 side holes) 

• 5 marble notebooks (Labeled: Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading, Writing)

• 1 sturdy 2-inch binder for planner and looseleaf (NO zipper binders)

• 1 package of looseleaf

• 1 package of colored pencils (24 count or less)

• 1 package of sharpened #2 pencils

• 4 pens (blue or black ink only)

• 2 black sharpie markers

• 2 Expo Markers (no yellow)

• 1 supply box for your desk

• 3 packages of 4x6 lined Post Its

• 2 glue sticks

• 1 pair of scissors

• 2 highlighters

• 1 hand held sharpener

• 1 recent photo of yourself

• 1 independent novel to read

• 1 large box of tissues

• 1 large container of disinfecting wipes

• **Earbuds or headphones for the laptops**

• NO WHITEOUT, CALCULATORS, or TOYS will be permitted.

It is important to read, read, read!  You need to read one or more books over summer break to avoid the “summer slide”.  In order to be successful in fifth grade you must practice your math facts and have your times tables memorized before school begins in September.  There are helpful computer games on the Math Page of Ms. Bitting’s teacher website.
