About Mrs. Werba

Hello! My name is Mrs. Werba and I am beyond excited to be your 5th grade Reading and Writing teacher this year! I am grateful to say this will be my 24th year teaching at Kinry Road Elementary School!

I am a strong believer in the importance of a meaningful, equitable, and quality education that benefits every child. A classroom should be a place where a student feels comfortable and safe enough to venture beyond his or her comfort zone to create, cultivate, and share new ideas that will stretch their thinking and, when necessary, take any mistake and turn it into a learning opportunity. I hope to encourage a love and excitement for learning with my students and to work closely with their families so that we may have a successful and memorable 5th grade year together.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time and having fun with my family and friends. I also enjoy hiking, reading, bicycling, anything Broadway, anything Disney, and being outdoors.
