Please refer to the K-2 Math Resources below for materials.
Hello and welcome!
Thank you for coming to my page for your child's distance learning experience for Math AIS. Please use the resources provided as additional support to help your child with their math needs. I suggest spending 30 minutes daily or every other day to meet the level of support that they would receive with me in school. Feel free to use a combination of both the online resources and paper-pencil activities. I suggest allowing them to have some choice to decide which materials they would like to use and in what order . I have included a collection of online resources to use as well. To find the additional online resources click on the "Additional Math Learning Links" tab above.
1. I strongly suggest having your child spend time using the i-Ready math program. The lessons are designed to meet your child's specific needs based on their most recent assessment. There is direct instruction provided as well as practice activities for each skill. After completing the activities, your child will also be able to take a short assessment to see how well they did! I am able to see how your child is progressing through their lessons as well as their quiz scores! The great thing about this is that the lessons will continue to become available as your child completes them. Have fun !
**The i-Ready company has released an At Home Learning Pack for each grade level. These look like some GREAT resources to print out and have your child work on them. Please click on the grade level you are interested in below. **
2. In addition to the i-Ready lessons, I have also included Community News resources. They are the home support portion of the Do the Math Intervention system that we use at school. Included are all of the home version games that your child has been working on in class with me. There are directions and templates for all games. The games reinforce the concepts that your child has learned during our AIS time together.
The links for modules are below.
The Number Core Module is also known to the kids as "The Starfish book".
The Addition Module A is also known to the kids as "The Football Field Book"
3. Below you will find links to additional skill practice for both addition and subtraction. They are in a PDF format and you can download and print them at home. I have included traditional skill practice sheets as well as color by number math sheets. Please check back often as I will continue to create and add resources.
