Welcome Letter

Welcome to fifth grade!  My name is Clare Curtis, and I will be your child’s teacher this year.  Since I’ll be spending so much time with your child, I wanted to take a moment to reach out and introduce myself.  This will be my 23rd year teaching at Sheafe Road.  I taught 5th grade for 20 years and 4th grade for 2 years.  I hope everyone had a great summer and is ready to get back into school and learn. 

This year in fifth grade, we will be rotating classes.  This means that I will be teaching your child reading, science, and social studies.  They will travel across the hallway to Room 22 to see Mrs. McLaughlin who will be teaching math, and Ms. Kiernan will be the writing teacher in Room 25.  I am confident that we are going to have a fun and exciting year together.
