Parts of Speech - nouns, verbs, and pronouns - oh my!

Mad Libs are a great way to work on the parts of speech. The link to the left can help you find printables, books, and an app you can download to play the game!

Board games!

I love using board games to target a lot of different language/speech goals. To the right and below, you'll find examples of a few of my favorites and how to use them!

Overall, board games are a great way to always work on pragmatic skills such as turn-taking, being a good team player, encouraging friends, and following rules.

Pop the Pig - can be used when working on your child's speech sounds, naming items in a category, answering a wh- question, creating a correct sentence to talk about a picture, and so much more!

Guess Who? - can be used for inferencing, describing, asking/answering yes/no questions, deductive reasoning, and process of elimination!

HedBanz - can be used for inferencing, asking/answering questions, describing, categories, and functions of items!

Zingo! - can be used to work on matching, rhyming, sentence structure, articulation, describing objects, categorizing, and asking/answering questions!
