About Mr. Minieri

Welcome to 6th grade! 

Teaching is my passion and I especially love to teach upper elementary.

I am a teacher that loves to have fun, but I also have high expectations of my students. 

I enjoy teaching all subjects, but I have particularly found an interest in teaching math. I approach math with the mindset that my students and I are solving a puzzle together.  This method has given my students excitement and increased confidence when problem solving. I teach math to all three 6th grade homerooms at Fishkill Plains Elementary.

Connecting with students interests has also been a focus of mine. This helps to establish a strong classroom community which promotes trust and a desire to learn. Some of my personal interests include Star Wars, Marvel, Football and Baseball (Go Giants and Yankees!!). 

Outside of school, I have volunteered at Camp Invention at Brinckerhoff Elementary; I take interest in supporting students with STEM activities and projects. 

In my free time, I love to draw, work on art projects, play sports with friends and family, and travel.
