Meet the Teacher

I grew up in Wappingers Falls and am a proud alumni of the Wappingers Central School District.  I attended college at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Childhood and Special Education as well as a Master's Degree in Literacy.  I started off as a substitute for the WCSD, where I also took on numerous short & long term leave replacement positions.  In September 2020, I began my first year teaching 5th grade at Gayhead Elementary.  This will be my first year teaching 6th grade.  I am so excited to work with former students as well as new students.  I absolutely love working here and being a member of the Gayhead community!

I currently live in Fishkill, NY with my fiancé Dan and our two dogs, Cayman and Travis.  In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible.  I love fresh air and the beauty of nature here in the Hudson Valley.  I love spending time with friends and family. Laughing, singing, dancing and having a good time is what it's all about!

This school year will be filled with new and exciting learning.  I'm looking forward to working with each and every student throughout their journey as a 6th grader.  Let's make these kiddos last year as a Grizzly a memorable one!
