About the Teacher

My name is Michele Keenan and I've been a teacher here at Sheafe since 1997. I started as a first grade teacher and then moved up to second grade in 2016. I love being a teacher because every year I get to meet new children who are eager to learn new things.

My entire family is from Wappingers Falls and I grew up in the Sheafe Road community.

I always loved going to school!

Since I taught gymnastics and dance lessons during high school, teaching was the only job I knew how to do best.

Even though I have been teaching for many years, I always learn something new from my students. We have students from all around with stories and cultures to share.

I like the challenge of creating things to keep my students interested.
