Grade Level Learning

KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten is very exploratory with materials, artists and concepts. Some of the main concepts that will be taught are Primary and Secondary Colors, Warm and Cool Colors, shapes, lines, texture. All of this is done through exploration of artists and stories.

FIRST GRADE

First grade will continue exploration of materials with elements and principals of art. Some concepts learned will be portraiture, overlapping, more Color Theory, shapes and lines. They will continue to learn through artists and stories.

Second grade

Second Graders get more in depth with their art work, incorporating many art elements and principals in one work. The works take longer to complete. They are also learning about more artists and concepts. Landscape is the main concept.
