Welcome to AIS! This year, we are using a mathematics program called, "Do the Math." This program provides students with hands-on learning to develop skills in the following areas: computation accuracy and efficiency, number sense, mathematical reasoning, and problem solving skills. Learning modules included in the program are Number Core, Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, and Fractions. In AIS, students work in small groups on skills and concepts that are tailored to their needs to help them reach their highest potential within the classroom.

To encourage my students to have a growth mindset and positive attitude towards learning, we are embracing "THE POWER OF YET!" It's our motto! Instead of thinking, "I can't __________! I don't know how to______! I don't understand __________!" We are changing our mindset to think, "I can't ___________ yet, but with more practice, I will!" Each one of us is on our own learning journey and working on different paths towards success. What's most important is that we are better than we were yesterday!
