Welcome to Math and Reading AIS!

I look forward to a new and exciting school year ahead!

Here in small group instruction, we use a mathematics program called, "Do the Math." This program provides students with hands-on learning to develop skills in the following areas: computation accuracy and efficiency, number sense, mathematical reasoning, and problem solving skills. Learning modules included in the program are Number Core, Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, and Fractions. In addition, we use TangMath. Students work in small groups on skills and concepts that are tailored to their needs to help them reach their highest math potential.

For small group reading instruction, we use leveled readers to focus on a variety of decoding, comprehension, and fluency strategies.
