About Me

Music with Mrs. Levetown

I have been a musician my entire life -- singing before I could even talk! My voice has always been my primary instrument, but I have played the piano since age 4, flute since age 9, and guitar since age 13. In college, I learned how to play almost every other instrument in the band and orchestra, but I don't get to practice them all that much these days...

I love music. I love how music can be an outlet for emotion and yet help us grow our academic minds. As an educator, I have taught music for 18 years in both public and private schools, as well as private lessons. My personal philosophy of music education is to instill a love of music to everyone, first and foremost. We learn lots of things in every class, but we always find time for fun. We are sure to sing, dance, and laugh in every class!

When not at school, Mrs. Levetown is enjoying time with her two sons, Jackson and Ethan, her husband, John, and their dog, Gigi. Besides music, she loves art and can often be found drawing, painting or working on calligraphy.
