What does a School Social Worker do?
School Social Workers address peer concerns and help children learn about feelings and how they effect each of us. I guide students to practice positive choices and behaviors. I may go into classrooms for a group lesson or meet with students individually or in small groups. Sometimes, a student just needs a place to come to talk.I also help staff and parents. I provide information about resources, consult about parenting or behavior issues and help with referrals. Please contact me regarding any questions or concerns you have. I am at James S. Evans Elementary School every day from 8:15 a.m.-3:25 p.m.What does a School Social Worker do?
