Grading: Students grades will be made up of the following:
Homework: Expect homework to be assigned everyday. Assignments will be checked and some may be randomly collected and graded. Homework that is checked daily will be worth a total of 2 points while the point value of graded homework will be determined by the assignment. No homework will be accepted later than one week past its due date. Graded homework will be accepted late with a penalty.
Quizzes: Quizzes may be expected at least once a week. They will be worth anywhere from 3 to 30 points each. Informal speaking will be assessed weekly.
Tests and Projects: Tests will be announced in advance. Missed tests must be made up as soon as is reasonably possible but no later than the final date of the marking period which will be given. Any missed tests or projects that are not made up will result in a grade of zero. Tests and projects will range from 30 to 60 points.
Computing Averages: Students can determine their average anytime by adding up all of the points they have earned and dividing by the total number of points they could have earned.
Students should contact me for extra help that will be available on Wednesdays after school a Wappingers Junior High School. DO NOT wait if you are having difficulty. I am here to help you be successful.
