Keynote Speaker - Dr. Jean-Nicolas Audet
Dr Audet is an HHMI research associate at the Rockefeller University Field Research Center in Millbrook. In his early career, he worked as an animal health technician, research assistant and microinjectionist for 15 years. He later obtained his B.Sc. in biology (major in animal physiology) and M.Sc. in neurosciences, both at Laval University (Québec city, QC, Canada). His master’s work included the creation, analysis, and treatment of cellular and animal models of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Dr Audet pursued his Ph.D. in neurobiology at McGill University (Montréal, QC, Canada), where he studied the ecological, psychological, and neurobiological correlates of innovation in wild birds. He then moved to Millbrook, NY to work at the Rockefeller University Field Research Center. His current work aims at understanding, at psychological and neurogenetics levels, the intra- and inter-specific variation of a wide variety of cognitive skills in wild birds. Dr Audet also teaches Biology at Vassar College since 2022.
