Syncing Schoology Assignments with PowerTeacher Pro

     Even though Schoology has a built-in gradebook, the PowerTeacher Pro gradebook is the one you will use to determine actual student grades.  When creating a graded assignment in Schoology, you will also need to create this assignment in PowerTeacher Pro.  Schoology offers the option of syncing your Schoology gradebook with your PowerTeacher Pro gradebook so that you only have to create the assignment once in Schoology.  By enabling the syncing feature, your Schoology assignments will automatically appear in PowerTeacher Pro. 

     IMPORTANT:  You are NOT required to sync your Schoology and PowerTeacher Pro gradebooks.  The only reason to sync the two gradebooks is if you choose to create assignments in Schoology instead of the PowerTeacher Pro gradebook.  If you decide to sync the two gradebooks, please be sure to monitor your PowerTeacher Pro gradebook regularly to be sure that all assignments and grades are appearing.  If you notice that assignments are not syncing correctly, click the Troubleshooting the Schoology Assignments and PTP Gradebook Syncing tab below for assistance.
