Bio:

My name is Crystal Heffelfinger (often called Mrs. Heff) and I've been teaching at West Millbrook Magnet Middle School since the 2012-2013 school year. I teach family and consumer science because I believe it teaches students valuable life skills they can use now and in the future.

I have my bachelors in family and consumer science education and my masters in career and technical education. I got both my bachelors and masters at East Carolina University.

At the school I am the career and technical education department chair overseeing the CTE department. I am also a member of our schools leadership team. I am often called the "cooking teacher" because a big part of my class is cooking in the kitchens located in my classroom. We cook a variety of foods that be smelled throughout the building.

In my spare time I enjoy going to the movies, cooking/baking and playing with my dogs. My husband and I enjoy Disney, superhero, and comedy movies. I love to cook and bake. I cook almost every day. I bake on special occasions or when the mood strikes. One of my specialties is cheesecake. My dogs names are Belle and Daisy and I spend time walking and playing with them.
