PRESIDENT:
Serves as the primary contact for all WLMS Booster Club related activities including fundraising, board meetings, special projects and athletic games. Responsible for communication with administration and community. Promotes all Booster Club activities.
VICE PRESIDENT:
Serves as an overall assistant to all other positions on the Booster Club. Facilitates President with meetings and communication with administration and community. Ideally, this position will serve as the Booster Club President following the President's term.
TREASURER/ASSISTANT TREASURER:
Responsible for all monies flowing through the Booster Club, including all receipts, payments, check deposits, tallying concessions and dance income; keeps accurate account of books using QuickBooks. Files appropriate tax returns, prepares annual budget.
SECRETARY:
Attends meetings, takes minutes, sends minutes out for approval, organizes Booster Club mailing(email) list.
DANCE CHAIR/Co-CHAIR:
Organizes 3 or 4 Friday evening dances for the student body. This includes obtaining parent volunteers, verifying their volunteer status with Wake County, and communicating this information to the administration before each dance. Book DJ for the dance, order pizza, decide on theme, if applicable.
CONCESSIONS CHAIR/ CONCESSIONS Co-Chair:
Responsible for buying all items for concessions, selling concessions at all home athletic games(or delegating this duty to another board member) and setting up for dances.
MEMBERSHIP CHAIR/ MEMBERSHIP CO-CHAIR:
Responsible for selling athletic memberships at Open Houses, athletic events and during the school year, obtaining membership cards, maintaining a current list of members available at each athletic event and purchasing/distributing membership token(drawstring bags, t-shirt, etc).
